The Silk Studio launched in 2021 as a passion project which evolved from a Wedding Design and Styling business.

It is now one of the leading silk ribbon suppliers in the UK.

Founder and designer, Leanna Haskell is dedicated to building a sustainable and inspirational brand, one which embodies luxury without compromising the Earth.

Leanna always knew that she wanted to work in the creative industry, and started out experimenting with natural dyes during the pandemic, when there were no real weddings to immerse herself in.

It didn't take long for Leanna to fall in love with the world of natural dying. The Silk Studio was born out of a love for the natural world and the beauty it has to offer. Being a fond collector of silk ribbons as a Wedding Designer, Leanna knew there was a demand for luxury, yet sustainable silk.

Leanna spent a long time sourcing sustainable and ethical silk to use for her craft, and hundreds upon hours experimenting with natural dyes, studying how to manipulate them to create a vast array of colours.
