Leanna lives in the artisan market town of Frome in Somerset with her husband, their daughter, Hallie and their Labrador pup, Oakley.
Leanna's down to earth, fun-loving nature promises a warm, approachable and personable experience for the wedding couples and creatives she works with.
She is an advocate of following your heart and placing genuine fulfillment, happiness and relationships at the forefront of everything you do.
When Leanna isn't conjuring up dye baths, she loves spending quality time with her family, gathered around the kitchen table with a crisp glass of sauvignon in hand, eating anything Italian!
Before entering the world of natural dying, Leanna studied law and worked in practice for over 7 years, but the lack of creativity, archaic values and the onerous nature of the profession left her cold.
It took an unexpected redundancy for Leanna to pluck up the courage to follow her dream of becoming a wedding stylist. She launched a wedding design and styling business, one which would soon be known as Leanna Elizabeth Weddings.
Over the course of three years, Leanna established lasting relationships, working with some of the industries finest creatives. Her work has been featured in many of the UK's most prominent blogs and magazines, including Love My Dress, Rock My Wedding, BLOVED and Wedding Ideas Magazine.
A lot changed over those three years. Leanna welcomed a beautiful daughter and then, of course, the pandemic struck. This brought about many changes for Leanna, as it did for many. With no real weddings to immerse herself in, Leanna took the time to reconnect with the natural world around her. Like many, she replaced her fast-paced lifestyle for country walks, gardening, home cooked dinners and of course, natural dying! It didn't take long for Leanna to fall in love with the slow living movement.
Leanna felt that simply adding her silks to her existing business wouldn't truly harness the essence of her work and her approach. It was time to bring her business up to speed, and there The Silk Studio was born.
